FAQ

Who is Vanguard Camp for?

Vanguard Camp is for athletes of any skill level who have attended CrossFit classes and wants to learn more. Camp is an opportunity for us to dive into technique more deeply than we have time to do in a regular class. Athletes must be at least 18 years old to participate.

What if I cannot be there for the whole camp?

Ideally, athletes are able to be at all of the sessions because they will build on each other. That said, if you must miss a portion we understand.

Do I need to be able to do all the skills before I come?

Athletes should have a basic knowledge of CrossFit movements (snatch, clean & jerk, pull ups, toes to bar, handstand push ups) but you do not need to be able to do the movements before attending camp. We will be breaking down each movement from the beginning foundation of the movement into mastering it at the highest level. This is a great place to start learning these movements or to refine your technique if you already have them.

What should I bring to camp?

Bring any gear that you use (grips, lifters, belts).

Bring a water bottle (we have a refill station).

Bring snacks.

Bring a lunch for Saturday (or plan to leave and get lunch during the break).

Bring a notebook if you are a note taker.

Can I bring friends to watch?

The gym will only be open to athletes who have registered for camp.

Can I bring my kids?

Camp is a long and intensive learning environment, so we ask that you please do not bring kids of any age. The kids room will not be open during camp.

Will camp be recorded?

No, you will need to be present to participate.
